• India’s Premier Med Systems Investing ₹60 Crore to Expand Device Manufacturing at Noida Park

As a physician who often deals with shortages or long lead times for imaging and critical care equipment, this update is very encouraging. Premier Medical Systems (Medisys), one of India’s earliest medical-equipment makers, has secured a letter of intent to invest ₹60 crore and acquire land in the new Medical Device Park (Sector 28, Noida). Their plan includes producing radiology, oncology, and critical care devices — like X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, oncology infusion systems, etc. This means better domestic supply, shorter wait times for procurement, and likely lower costs for hospitals. As practitioners, this kind of local capability strengthens our system’s resilience—less dependence on imports means fewer delays and better maintenance support.
